I was blessed to have been born in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. Who would have thought that one day I would be working in advertising 6,000 miles away from where I was born. As far back as I can remember, I was always a visual person. The fact is, I originally wanted to become an illustrator when I attended The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Then I was forced to take an advertising class and I was hooked. I constantly looked at award annuals for inspiration and fell in love with some of the work from agencies in L.A., Minneapolis, and Boston. However, upon graduation I ended up in Chicago at J.Walter Thompson primarily working on the Quater Oats business. I eventually moved on to Boston where I took a job at Hill Holliday. I have also been fortunate enough to have worked at other great agencies locally including Leonard Monahan Lubars and Kelly, Clarke Goward, Ingalls Advertising, and Arnold Worldwide from which I spent the last 14 year at. All of these places have taught me a tremendous amount of experience and instilled in me the passion for creating great work and brands.
